➡️ Step Two: Check for Availability
Once you have a list of potential names, check domain availability and whether the names are already in use.
Select a reputable domain registrar or a website that offers domain name checking services. Examples include GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, Bluehost, or Domain.com.
Visit the domain registrar’s website.
Use their search tool to enter one of your business names. Add common domain extensions to your search, like .co.uk, .com, .net, .org, or more specific ones like .gifts, .store, or .shop. The search will tell you if the domain is available or already taken.
If the domain is taken, the registrar might suggest alternative names or variations.
If your preferred .com domain isn’t available, consider trying different extensions (.net, .biz, .gift, etc.) or slight variations of the name.
Be cautious with variations to ensure they still align well with your brand and are easy for customers to remember.
