Here are some prompts to gather and analyse the necessary information:

➡️ “I am going to give you some information about my business so you can analyse my demographic.”

Now feed the following information into ChatGPT:

✅ The specific industry and niche your business operates in. (eg, small business advice, online marketing, parenting, computing, seasonal gift items, fashion for men, home business, self improvement)

✅ Detailed descriptions of the products or services you offer or plan to offer (eg, quirky t-shirt designs, productivity planners, ‘how to ebooks, popular-culture themed mugs, a memoir-writing service)

✅ Any existing information on the kind of customer you are aiming for. Don’t worry if you haven’t got all the details yet – but you should need an idea of broadly who you are aiming for, eg small business owners and managers, parents with young families, eco-conscious Etsy shoppers in their 20s and 30s who are looking for gifts, middle aged home entrepreneurs running a part time business for the first time. If you are the target audience yourself, then you can use yourself as a basis, or think a family member, friend or colleague who you know would buy your products.

✅ Any customer feedback, and other relevant data you have collected in your P2P enterprise (Again, it’s okay if you don’t yet have any – but if you have already sold items to customers you might have had some responses or reviews.

➡️ “Analyse the usage of competitor products/brands among my target market?”

Psychographic Information:

➡️ “Identify the values and beliefs common among my target market?”

Demographic Analysis:

➡️ “Can you guide me on how to analyse the demographic factors relevant to my business in the [industry name] industry?”

Psychographic Analysis:

➡️ “I need to understand the psychographic characteristics of my target audience for my [product/service name]. Can you assist?”

Behavioural Analysis:

Competitor Target Market Analysis:

Previous Buying Experiences:

Social Media Behaviours:
